Frequently asked questions
How are credits consumed?
Parse consumes 1 credit per page and Extract consumes 2 credits per page — all from a single credit balance. Only successful pages are charged.
How does pay-as-you-go work?
Start free, then top up credits ($1 = 100 credits) and pay only for what you use. Credits never expire and are drawn as you call Parse and Extract.
What can xParse handle?
PDFs, scans, spreadsheets, presentations and screenshots — 19 formats in total. It handles complex tables (merged cells, cross-page, borderless), watermarked and curved images, and returns layout-aware chunks with bounding-box grounding.
Does it fit into my AI stack?
Yes. xParse provides a REST API and SDKs, with structured, chunk-ready output that plugs straight into your AI and RAG pipelines — and into common vector databases and frameworks.
How do you handle security and compliance?
Data is protected with AES-256 encryption and automatic PII redaction by default, on ISO 27001 / 27701 certified infrastructure. Data residency, custom retention and on-prem deployment are available on Enterprise.
Do you issue an invoice?
Yes. You can download your receipt anytime from Console → Billing.
Which payment methods are supported?
Visa, Mastercard and American Express, processed securely by Stripe. 3D Secure is handled automatically where required.
